Data Analyser

Help and Documentation

This software will not alter the contents of the cells in your workbook in any way. The only changes that will be made are to colour formatting.

Setting the range to Work on

First, decide which range of cells to analyse:

  •  All cells will run on every cell from A1 to the last cell used on a worksheet, including cells in hidden rows or columns, and including each cell in a merged set of cells.
  •  Range allows you to specify the range of cells on which to run, either by typing in the range or by selecting it on the worksheet. A named range can be used.

Then, decide which worksheet(s) to use:

  •  Copy sheet will create an exact replica of the current worksheet in front of it and run on that replica sheet only. Thus your original worksheet is left untouched, and you can manually delete the replica sheet once you have finished reviewing the results.
  •  Current sheet will run on the current worksheet. It will alter the cell colours without any undo. We recommend you save your workbook before using this option.
  •  All sheets will run on all worksheets in the workbook. It will alter the cell colours without any undo. We recommend you save your workbook before using this option.

Finally click Run.

By clicking on 'Clear colours' you can clear all colours on the specified range of the current worksheet. Right-click to clear all colours on the specified range in all worksheets within the workbook.

Options

Right-click any option to set the default.

1. Colour numeric formulas as numbers means that any cell that contains a formula which is numeric (eg =3+4, or =25*5) will be coloured as if it were a number.

2. Do not colour error cells red will analyse cells resulting in an error depending on their content (ie formula, text etc).
